Once in a blue moon in Sedona?:
Because moon cycles are shorter than all the months except February, sometimes a month will have two full moons.  When it does, the second full moon of the month is said to be a Blue Moon.  Technically, it’s called a calendar blue moon.  It’s really not that rare, happening about once every two to three years.  A little more rare, like in 2018, there are no full moons in February and calendar blue moons in BOTH January and March.  The photo we took for the Blue Moon Blueberry package was taken August 31, 2012 (the 2nd full moon that month) at a very popular location for photographing full moons in Sedona.  If you are lucky to be in Sedona during a full moon, check this page for a possible event: https://www.facebook.com/sedonadrumcircle/

One of my favorites, and very refreshing, especially during hot weather!
