2007 Hai Xin Tang Mini Puer Cake (COOKED/SHU)

An AGED RIPE/COOKED/SHU PUER direct from the HaiXinTang factory in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China where we visited in October 2018. Compressed in 2017 from already ten-year aged old tree (40-100 year old trees) material that was dry-stored before we purchased in 2018. It has a strong, real aged taste with much complexity and character.

 

We met with the primary owner and president of the factory when visiting his large showroom at the Kind Wholesale Tea Market in Kunming. We were given tastings and access to information not usually available to foreigners. He then invited us to his factory on the outskirts of Kunming where we had a private tour, and a surprise dinner prepared for us. We sampled 40-60 year old puer with the rare "white flower" mold that is extremely desirable (and completely un-afordable). He then invited us to his famous DaDuGang plantation (largest in the world and in the middle of nowhere) and factory in far southwest China, not far from North Vietnam. This was one of the items we were able to acquire from XaiXinTang and DaDuGang.
